To create animal tags that are searchable, create a "tag field" in System Settings - Settings - Animals - Additional Information.
For example, you can tag animals by phenotype:
 Additional Information Tab Go to system settings - Settings - Animals and click on Additional Information Tab.

 Create New Tag FieldName a new field with type "Tag."

When adding animals, you can now add a tag. You may tag as many times as you like; previous tags will appear in a dropdown menu.
