Duplicates occur when a strain is typed in more than one way, but are essentially the same.
For Example, users may type in new strain values as follows:
Alpha1
Alpha-1
Alpha 1
Alpha01
You can also manage who is allowed to type new values in the dropdown lists in user permissions.
