System Settings - Cage Locations - Create New Cage Location - Main Information

Main Information Tab

Start with the Main Information Tab.

Enter the location name (Building name, room name, rack name)

You can create a unique barcode for a location (optional).

Select the parent. The parent dropdown menu is generated from locations you have already created. If it is a Building, there is no parent.

By default, your location is active. You can mark it as inactive to hide from your location tree.
