Multiple Species

Choose yes or no for multiple species. If you use multiple species, mLIMS will create an auto-generated dropdown field for species.

Adult Definition

Enter the minimum age in days of an adult animal. mLIMS will differentiate between pups and adults.

Dam and Sire

Enter the number of dams and sires that can be included in each animal pedigree (for example, you can have more than one parent in the pedigree). The maximum is 5 males and females per animal.

Age Format

Select option from dropdown menu: Days, Week, or Year/Month/Week

Animal Naming

Choose Manual from the dropdown to name each animal yourself, or naming within Projects. Choose Same as First Animal ID to automatically name all animals. You may also allow duplicate animal names.

Case-Sensitive Genotypes

Select yes if genotypes are Case-Sensitive (different according to upper or lower case), or no if genotypes are not case-sensitive.

Strain and Background Strain

Enable or disable strain identification

Consolidate Strain Menu

To consolidate all strains across mLIMS, select yes. Learn more about managing strains here.

Pain Level Quota

Change to Yes to enable pain level quota (will be counted in protocol).
