If you have added custom columns, the mLIMS import tool will not immediately recognize them (it is impossible for the database to know all of your possible genes, or your custom fields). It is very easy to tell MLIMS what you would like to do with the columns it did not recognize. Correct any errors before continuing.
mLIMS Did not recognize Animal ID, I meant to say Ear Tag. Select it from the dropdown.
In the example below, mLIMS did not recognize the custom column PCR Sample. Locate custom field columns. Note that there is a red exclamation point. Check the Box for custom column.
Warning: DO NOT CREATE CUSTOM FIELDS FOR EVERYTHING. THIS WILL CREATE DUPLICATES AND CAN CAUSE ISSUES. Always check the dropdowns under each row to match.
