Importing With Location Data

If you are using cage locations, you will need to add the cage location after the import. It is recommended that you import in groups (Building, Room, Rack).

Step 1: Set up Excel Template, create a tab for each location.

Step 2: Import animals and cages by common building, room, rack

On the import sheet, highlight all fields EXCEPT location data.

Continue the import

Import all fields except locations.

Step 3: When animals are imported, click to review the cages.

Step 4: Select All Cages and Update.

Step 5: Update The Cage Locations

Step 6: Use Drag and Drop to move cages to location on rack
